Top 10 Reasons to go to a CFC

I can say with complete honesty that attending my first Communicators for Christ conference in 2010 has changed my life.

But I’ve also heard people say that their favorite flavor of ice cream has ‘changed their lives’, so maybe me saying the same about this experience isn’t enough for you.

With that in mind, here are...

The Top Ten Reasons to Go To a CFC

1. It’s a unique experience

You might be able to find another two-day leadership and communication conference. But try finding another one that’s almost completely run by millennial leaders and speakers, and is filled with more interactive labs than boring lecture.

2. Meet amazing people

The people at a Communicators for Christ conference are some of the most mission-driven and talented you’ll ever meet.

3. Get out of your comfort zone (in a safe place)

I read somewhere that you can never be the best version of yourself within your comfort zone. Sharing your ideas in front of a group of people can be pretty scary, but in this community you have a safe place to practice this vital skill.

4. Practical skills (you will use for the rest of your life)

The CFC experience is a hands-on learning environment. As you work on group projects and participate in engaging discussion, you will learn lasting skills such as collaboration, innovation, adaptability, problem solving, and critical thinking.

5. Parents also get training (and attend for free)

Why let your students have all the fun? Parents also receive coaching in a separate track designed specifically for you, that will help you continue to mentor your own students.

6. Learn with peers

The CFC experience is anything but a lecture. Watch firsthand as training “trickles down”, as more experienced students share what they’ve learned with younger students, and they mentor their younger siblings, and so on and so forth.

7. It’s intergenerational

We know that everyone has something important to say, regardless of age. We practice that mindset with an activity designed to give different generations an opportunity to learn from each other.

8. You get to create something

No matter which age group you’re in you will have the opportunity to collaborate on an original project and share your ideas.

9. Evening Program

I’ve heard from many that this inspirational and engaging event alone is worth the admission price. Come and be delighted as speakers share stories, fictional and personal, that they wrote and prepared themselves. Invite your friends and family to this free event!

10. Gets you ready for influence

Every part of the conference is tailored to prepare you with the tools and skills to influence your community now.
