This year, I had the privilege of being a student evaluator in the Rhode Island ICCFS tournament for the first time. Through this experience, I was able to see what it is like to be an evaluator, instead of the one being evaluated.
This time I was the scary person behind the desk who gets to write secret notes with my pen of power, mwahahaha! Just kidding.
I think the most important thing I learned was that I am the audience as well as the evaluator, so I have to be a good audience member while writing notes. It definitely helped to have been evaluated before, so I knew what it felt like. Overall it was a great experience.
