The RI HOPE Chapter is growing with four students in the Young Speakers Guild Phase 2 curriculum series, six students in the Young Speakers Guild Phase 1 curriculum series, and 10 Young Communicators for Christ.
This growth was not possible without the amazing Student Leader Team that started with Chapter Mentors Olivia & David, plus Guild Inductee Rachel and has just recently doubled in number to include Ben, Will, and Christy.
These amazing new SLs went down to New Jersey to receive further leadership training at the Communicators for Christ Conference (CFC). Ben Stamp and Will were Apprentices and Christy was in the High School Leadership Track. Ben Curry and David Souza also attended the CFC Conference as well as three Moms.
Speaking of Moms, Marisabel, Ann and Katie have been stepping up to lead in many areas. During the small group coaching time, many of the other moms are mentoring and encouraging the students one-on-one. We look forward to mentoring more Moms to empower them to model good coaching and communications during the spring term.
In September, we raised $227.00 selling plants and artwork at Celebrate West Greenwich Day.
Olivia and David were able to serve as Student Instructors at the CFC conferences in NJ and MD respectively. David is a Prospective Intern for the Fall 2020 Intern Tour.
David is directing practices for a Christmas Presentation at Brookdale Centre of New England which will be presented on December 11th.
