Our experience as a family involved in ICC has been nothing short of a blessing. When I first learned of RI HOPE and all the amazing students in the program I was impressed and a bit overwhelmed if I’m being honest. I saw teens that dressed well, presented themselves respectfully and took what they were doing seriously. And they were having fun and building relationships along the way! I distinctly remember thinking “I want my kids to be like that”.
As a Kingdom Minded Mother I always told my children that I was praying God would use them in a mighty way, this was a program I knew would propel them on that path and prepare them for anything God called them to. I have seen my shy guy step out in confidence, my outspoken guy reign it in and speak with poise, and my teen share her faith boldly.
Over the years ICC has changed and grown for the better, though it is still like learning a new language and I have a ton to learn, I am grateful for the resources available and the “Go Together” model. I never have to feel like I am doing it alone! It is a blessing to work alongside all of you wonderful families, and I am excited for what the future holds for our RI HOPE Chapter!
