I knew exactly what I was going to do for school. I was sure this was the way that my life was going to unfold. My plan was rock solid and nothing was going to be changing anytime soon. Last fall I rejoined RI HOPE and ICC after a two year break due to some medical reasons, I was looking forward to being part of my chapter for junior and senior year then off to college.
However, God started to change my plans at my local tournament this past March when he called me to join the Area Student Leader Team and be an example to other students. This meant that I had to finish certain requirements to become part of this team. It took a lot of work juggling classes and the ICC Academy courses but thanks to the grace of my mentors, I was now set on this new path. This was my new plan:
be on the Area Student Leader Team
in the fall and go to college the following year.
But, once again God showed me that He had a different plan. Just last month while I was at my local CFC in New Jersey, my mentors reminded me of a desire and a calling that I felt back in 2015 to join the internship team and share what I've learned in my ICC Journey with others.
Now this was a big decision At first I thought, “No way. I just came back to ICC last year. That would mean taking a gap year and pushing off college.” Yet, as I began to pray about it, I realized the amazing opportunity that God was directing me towards.
I used to think that my plan was sufficient,
but now I know that God will guide me
in ways that I can’t possibly imagine.
