The Institute for Cultural Communicators (ICCinc.org) knows that preparing today’s youth for tomorrow can be complicated and confusing. They helped me and thousands of dedicated parents and teachers guide ordinary students to become extraordinary leaders right now for the real world.

My journey started in 1998, when my oldest daughter, Hannah was 12 years old. She attended a public speaking conference in Acton, Massachusetts called Communicators for Christ (CFC: cfcicc.org). That event changed her life and transformed her into an extraordinary leader who influenced 100's of teens all over New England during her high school years.

Since that time I have had the privilege of coaching young people in the art of public speaking. As a 30-year veteran homeschool mom of nine and I have seen this same transformation in each one of my children and in 100's of students I have coached at various speech clubs and RI HOPE.

I am excited to start instructing even more students at Good Company Tutorials in Cranston, Rhode Island (http://www.goodcompanytutorials.org/friday-course...).

I invite you to join me in one of the Public Speaking Classes on Friday and the CFC (Nov 6-7).

PUBLIC SPEAKING - A Reason to Speak: (1st semester) Grades 5-8. Middle school students have ideas, but sometimes they don’t know how to talk about them with others. This engaging course introduces students to valuable public speaking skills and why these skills matter. Students will practice applying these essential skills immediately as they develop confidence and character while finding their Reason to Speak. There will be fun activities and games woven into each class to reinforce skills. Students will develop their voices and learn how the way they communicate in everyday life has the potential to transform and serve those around them.

PUBLIC SPEAKING - EXPRESS: Launching Your Journey Toward Confidence and Conviction (2nd semester): Intended for grades 9-12. High school students have ideas, but sometimes they don’t know how to talk about these passions with others. EXPRESS is an engaging, interactive, faith-based curriculum designed to teach basic communication skills to high school students using modeling and guided practice. There will be fun activities and games woven into each class to reinforce skills. Students will develop their own voices and learn how the way they communicate in everyday life has the potential to transform and serve those around them. Students will develop the skills to speak conversationally through short instructional videos, course assignments, discussions, and presentations. They will encounter real-world communication challenges including interviews, limited preparation speaking, and storytelling as well as learn to draft, revise, and deliver a speech, and give and receive constructive feedback within a safe environment.

COMMUNICATORS FOR CHRIST CONFERENCE: Everyone who says they follow Jesus is a Communicator for Christ. At CFC conferences, we bring parents and students together to know not just what they believe – but how to talk about their faith. Today, that means being leaders and communicators in both physical and digital spaces. Communicators for Christ is a 2-day immersive experience designed to empower parents and students (ages 6-18) to influence today’s culture through communication and leadership skills. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the community and wisdom of like-minded Christians intentionally pursuing the authentic connections and relationships in which influence flourishes. Our global team of adult and young adult instructors helps families start where they are and begin the transformation into extraordinary leaders.

Join us on November 6th and 7th with your whole family in our Eastern Time Zone conference, hosted by RI HOPE and the Northeast Area ICC Chapters!

SEEING IS BELIEVING: Watch this video to hear the testimonies of two recent ICC Interns.
